As a Computer Science major at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, I have dedicated my academic journey to mastering software engineering, algorithms, data structures, and cross-platform development. My hands-on experience in app development, backend integration, robotics, and state management has equipped me to tackle real-world challenges with both technical rigor and creative problem-solving.Currently, I am developing Pacerunner, a Flutter-based running app that tracks users’ speed, provides real-time feedback, and integrates with Firebase for backend data management. Throughout the development, I’ve worked with geolocation services, Riverpod for state management, and have implemented real-time statistics and pace notifications. This experience has deepened my knowledge of mobile app development and improved my ability to work across iOS and Android platforms.In addition to my app development projects, I hold leadership roles in IEEE and SHPE. As an officer in IEEE, I have successfully organized workshops on JavaScript and React and partnered with professionals to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations. This position has refined my leadership and teamwork abilities. My involvement with SHPE has also fostered a deeper understanding of diversity in technology and the importance of community-building within STEM.I’ve gained valuable hands-on experience participating in competitions such as the IEEE Region 5 Robotics Competition (where I designed software for a computer vision-based robot) and university-level hackathons. These projects have exposed me to a range of tools and technologies, including C++, Python, OpenCV, Flutter, and Firebase. I am particularly proud of developing software under pressure and learning new tools to meet complex technical requirements.With a passion for software engineering, backend integration, and product development, I am excited about opportunities in full-stack development and roles where I can make an impact using my problem-solving skills, leadership experience, and collaborative mindset. My goal is to join a team where I can continue learning, drive innovation, and contribute to building meaningful technology.
