Francisco is Head of Data Science at Global Ecosystem Dynamics, and a Research Affiliate with the MIT Local Innovation Group at the Sociotechnical Systems Research Center. With a focus on complex systems, his work is centered on studying and promoting the development of entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems in Latin America, Europe and Africa.Graduating with honors, Francisco obtained a BA in Business Creation and Development from TEC de Monterrey, and got a certificate in Architecture of Complex Systems from MIT xPRO. He is constantly furthering his studies in the fields of complex systems and data science, striving to harness almost a decade of experience within the entrepreneurship ecosystem to turn data into easily understandable insights valuable for entrepreneurs and policymakers alike.Francisco has worked for different organizations focused on furthering the development of entrepreneurial ecosystems such as Global Ecosystem Dynamics, MIT Enterprise Forum Mexico, and Mexico’s Entrepreneurs Association (ASEM), while also volunteering to lead startup communities through the organization of meetups and workshops. Driven to improve his home city as well as the state of the world, in 2014 he became a member of the Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
