As Executive Director (main tasks)Responsible of the staff, budget and all other resources, to help make the best use of them and raise the centre profitability.Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the center and the design, development and implementation of plans and strategies in collaboration with the Board for the future of the centre ; in a cost-effective and time-efficient mannerResponsible for overseeing and managing the strategic direction of the research centre's Responsible for the implementation of the decisions taken by the Executive committee and the Board.As Research ManagerPrepare research applications, work closely with the researchers, advising on application procedures, eligibility criteria, submission procedures (including electronic document submission as required by the the European Commission and FNRS) and funder’s terms and conditions.Prepare and submit applications, ensure timely despatch, to the exact format, submission deadline and that all other requirements of the funding body are adhered to, and that applications have been appropriately authorised in line with the University’s financial regulations including grant and contract extensions and supplements.Ensure that applications are in compliance with the University’s financial regulations, strategic pricing policies and also funder’s terms and conditions.Process contract and grant award acceptances, in accordance with the funders' requirementsEnsure that key contractual obligations of the contracts and grants have been highlighted to the researchers Liaise with the funding bodies on their procedures, regulations, terms and conditions.Contribute to the development of proposal and project management systems, and research ethics/sponsorship databases management information provision and the promotion of the research centre capabilities, facilities.
