Technical lead of R&D projects aiming to develop new thermoplastic composite materials and manufacturing processes for commercialization, such as carbon fibre reinforced tapes and long fibre thermoplastic pellets for injection moulding applications. From process conceptual design to optimisation and up-scaling, I was able to implement new manufacturing methods and produce new materials which were successfully proven in prototype components. As part of the consultancy services offering, I have also been responsible for performing Finite Element structural analyses and design of structures to clients. Structures typically comprised of enclosures, shrouds and kiosks made of a combination of GRP, timber and steel structural elements

A research study on the Stamp Forming of Tailored Blanks was conducted, with a focus on evaluating consolidation quality, forming behaviour and mechanical performance of stamp formed unidirectional CF/PEEK tailored blanks. Techniques able of decreasing void content in tailored blanks were determined and process induced defects, characteristic of tailored blanks were identified
