I am currently a Policy & Market Monitoring Principal at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. In this role I - Generate policy-relevant insights through quantitative and statistical analysis of survey and market data.- Advance the staff’s strategic initiatives around survey-related data and technology enhancements, including advancing capabilities in data analysis, data visualization and expanding data pipeline.- Contribute to all aspects of the Survey of Primary Dealers (SPD) and Survey of Market Participants (SMP), including survey design, processing of responses, preparation of survey analysis for policymakers, and the preparation of the release of summary survey results to the public.- Track, analyze, and report on U.S. policy expectations for market monitoring.- Develop analytical expertise on U.S. monetary policy expectations, including analysis of market-implied policy expectations, survey results, and market commentary on monetary policy expectations.- Contribute to MOMA’s market monitoring briefings and author in-depth and topical analytical pieces.- Prepare written and verbal briefings for senior policymakers on monetary policy expectations and results from the SPD and SMP.Before joining the New York Fed, I worked for Morningstar Investment Management as an economist.I hold a Ph.D. degree in economics from the University of Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain. I earned the CFA designation in August 2013. Prior to joining Morningstar I held positions as a credit analyst of municipal bonds for Nuveen in Chicago, and as financial auditor for KPMG in Spain.
