I am also responsible for the overall delivery and timing of key strategic projects and ensuring up time of current plant critical assets. -Most recent success has been the delivery of $30M upgrade in our Carole Park facility which was completed ahead of schedule and on budget. This project was delivered with Zero harm, by which we had zero First aid treatment, LTI and MTI, an achievement I am most proud of. - We extracted more from the budget by changing our approach to works and eliminating waste through our project process and structures, deploying good governance and holding teams to account. This will ensure new equipment will over deliver on throughput by 15% with no extra funding required. - Drove a great team culture and setup the urgency from the beginning and gained great engagement from a new team which ensured we all rowed in the same direction and delivered this complex brownfield project on time with zero impact to existing operations.- Deploying effective maintenance principles (LEAN) to the regional teams and reviewing their asset care processes and developing a new system and approach on how we view maintenance. Changing mindset and priorities from running to functionality with priorities on safety, environment and quality.- Responsible for entire APAC capital projects and spares budget and cash flows ensuring we hit planned targets and delivery as communicated to the executive leadership team. - Running the APAC electrical safeguards safety committee, as one of my passions is safety and another is electrical engineering I have assumed the duty of ensuring our electrical equipment remains safe to operate for our teams. During this transformation I was able to lead my team to provided the business with incremental improvement of >15% while improving safety, quality and housekeeping standards. Key achievements in this role: - Improved safety standards across the team, zero shortcuts, stopping for safety issues and addressing the immediately, deployment of 5S and housekeeping tools and having maintenance team involved and support to eliminate operator and machine interface. - Increased machine throughput by 15% with zero investment. This was achieved by great operator engagement deployment of key LEAN principles, structured meetings, visual displays, A3 projects and regular feedback from the floor. - Elimination of sludge waste dumped off site, this was my personal environmental challenge and we have been able to reuse this sludge since it was instated. This project delivers ~$630k in savings p.a to the plant. I measure my success by how well my team performs once I have vacated my position and an someone new assumes the chair. It was rewarding to see that my departure did not change the upward trajectory and the plant continued to improve once I assumed a regional role, testament to the continuous improvement culture I developed within the team.
