As Executive Vice President and Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) of Liberty Mutual Insurance, I lead the company’s efforts to ensure sustainability is integrated into Liberty Mutual’s commercial retail and investments businesses. I also partner with colleagues across the company to ensure that diversity, equity and inclusion are woven into our strategies and that climate resiliency is incorporated into Liberty’s community impact.In my role, I work to advance the climate transition within Liberty, spearheading initiatives including the company’s greenhouse gas measurement reductions and a robust reporting and disclosures program. Prior to becoming the company’s first CSO, I led the company’s global talent and total rewards programs. For more than 30 years, I’ve helped shape a wide range of leadership and workforce strategies at Liberty.I serve on the boards of Nobody’s Children and Lazarus House Ministries; I’m also on the board and chair the investment committee of Boston Healthcare for the Homeless. In addition, I’m a member of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship, where I chair the Environmental, Social and Governance Reporting Advisory Board and am a member of the Corporate Eco Forum. I received my Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, and a Bachelor of Science in Business from Bentley University. I’m a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
