Senior Engineer, Genentech Research & Early Development. Currently performing commissioning and qualification activities for a new clinical development and phase I manufacturing facility. Following completion of C&Q in 2017, will transition into project support role for new clinical projects in the facility. Will own facility, equipment, scheduling, budget and process with Principal Engineer and other associates. Supervises contract and manufacturing operations staff, mentors new hires, and acts as subject matter expert on small molecule GMP regulatory requirements and process development.

Worked in the capacity of Senior Process Engineer in parenteral freeze dry operations. Day to day responsibilities included maintaining reliable and efficient functionality of six freeze dryers. Originated Continuous Improvement Programs, participated in CPV activities, and owned CAPA and Investigation Activities in the capacity of RCA Lead Investigator and Change Control Owner. Supported facility shutdown and major capital improvements as necessary.

Works in the Solids Development group as a laboratory scientist. Responsible for designing and conducting laboratory experiments to develop immediate and controlled release solid oral dosage forms. Specifically, operated processing equipment, performed dosage form testing, data analysis, troubleshot complex drug delivery or manufacturing problems and proposed hypotheses to solve issues. Participated in project teams to optimize dosage forms and totransfer commercial processes to manufacturing.Additional responsibilities included thorough scientific documentation (e.g., notebook records and technical summaries), data analysis, interpretation and communication of results/implications through technical reports and oral presentations, and presentation of significant findings via internal and external presentations.
