Francis is a hydrologist with 12+ years international consultancy experience in the water and engineering sector across New Zealand, Africa, North and South America, Asia and Europe. He specialises in the measurement, evaluation, and interpretation of surface water hydrology and meteorology, including application to environmental and social impact assessment, flood forecasting, resource consents, engineering design and feasibility investigation. Francis’s key technical expertise lies in field hydrology data collection, detailed hydrological and hydraulic modelling and design of water management solutions. Practical field experience establishing baseline monitoring networks in remote and challenging environments combines with extensive experience conducting detailed hydrological and hydraulic investigations, including low flow, flood hazard and dam break assessments. in addition to extreme event and climate change analysis.
