• Collected historical Cycle time data from the company’s SQL database, performed a time study and root cause analysis on the manufacturing system through work sampling which reduced data variations by about 97%.• Conducted descriptive statistical analysis on the data through box and whisker plots, bar graphs and other tools. This provided an estimate of the current process speed at each station as grounds for station comparison, deeper understanding of the process and even identifying 100% of improvement areas. • Created a Microsoft Excel File, a Line Balancer, that established a synchronous flow by analyzing the time study results and cycle time data while considering deadlines and desired output. With that, it provided the best labor assignment. That provided a 60% rise in process predictability and manufacturing capacity, as well as an 80% elimination of delays. The improvement even saved the company $2000 worth of WIP storage area. • Implemented Kanban method of storage area delimitation. This indicated when semi-finished products needed to be moved to the next production step. As a result, there was a 95% elimination of interruptions.• Simultaneously led two teams of three operators in the execution, and plant-wide identification and elimination of the seven wastes in lean as well as preventing musculoskeletal injuries in manual work despite being pressured by tight deadlines.
