After 33 years of accident-free flying at 3 organizations - South African Air Force, Sun Air and Emirates Airlines - it became time to enjoy the more relaxing side of life. That meant getting settled here in the beautiful surroundings of Knysna, a wonderful town on the Garden Route of South Africa's South Coast. Initially I project managed the building of our own home on the Pezula Golf Estate and also managed some rental properties on the estate. My interest in property, and the satisfaction I get from working with other property owners, has lead me to join the RE/MAX group of realtors where I now, as Resident Agent on the estate, focus exclusively on the sales of higher-end properties on the Pezula Golf Estate and Pezula Private Estate.During my years as a career pilot I have accumulated almost 16,500 flying hours - of which almost 10,000 hours were on the Airbus A330/A340, and my final years were spent as Captain on the Airbus A380.I believe aviation was invented to have fun and that we should always enjoy it and consider myself very fortunate to have had an office with an ever-changing view. Nevertheless, my aim was to execute each flight to the highest level of safety while I still continuously strived to find ways to operate more efficiently. In this modern day and age of fancy technology it has become very easy to forget that basic, simple, proven methods often still work best and that humans still form the backbone of all high-tech systems. For this reason I always try to keep things simple, practical, and avoid complicating matters when there is no need to do so and I consider how my actions will affect the people around me.I take all these principals with me into the world of real estate sales. I acknowledge the fact that I work with people, and as such value them as customers and friends. I focus on building relationships while helping people buy or sell their homes here in Pezula.
