As an accomplished metallurgist / process engineer with 13 years of production experience in an industrial environment performing mineral processing and water treatment, I have successfully increased production output and efficiency through effective problem solving, design changes and debottlenecking on various beneficiation facilities and process circuits.My analytical thinking enables innovative yet practical solutions to problems, which is emphasized by the AngloAmerican Innovation Award we won for an innovative solution that was implemented increasing company revenue and preventing job losses. I find the root cause of problems and solve them. I have recently increased production output at the Thungela neutralization plant output with 63% to 14 ML/d within 4 months using debottlenecking techniques. I have also, reduced chemical dosing costs by 144% saving the company CAD 1.8 million annually. Through data analysis, drawing review and design simulation I spearheaded a water application system reducing magnetite consumption by 42% over 3 months.No good work is ever done alone, I have led thriving teams with more than 100 members delivering outstanding results by means of guidance, clear communication and maintaining individual accountability. I have also trained and mentored upcoming professionals and delivered a technical paper at the Southern African Coal Processing Society to likeminded peers. I am also a self-starter with a good work ethic that requires less oversight.
