    From 19/01/2009 to date, I have been assigned to the Avenew Project as a SQL Developer and DBAAs a Avenew DBA and SQL Developer for Avenew you design and implement stored procedures, and tables. You also look after the Merge replication and Transactional replication. Currectly we have 1 Central Server Cluster that is on SQL 2012 Enterprise Edition, we have 1240 Store Servers that are running SQL 2005 Standared Edition, and about 17 000 Terminals in the store that are running SQL Compact Edition. The terminals are linked to the Store server Via Transactional Replication, and the Store servers are linked to Central Via Merge Replication We are also running Service Broker to send the transactions up from the terminals to the central server. I have also developed in SSIS for our interfaces to the peer systems, and in Zena to schedule the jobs for the time that it needs to run. We also look after the Backups of Store servers and the Transaction log backups of Store servers and Central server. Currently I am busy with the Airtime solution where they suppliers are sending us files, we check with the orders that has been placed, and make sure that the file is full, and then create a new file that we send to Postilion once that has been done, we get a file back to say if it has been loaded or not. We check for duplicate Serial numbers, and Pins, we also check the expirie date. After it has been loaded, we receive the stock, and let the supplier know Via email that the stock has been loaded.

    Avenew is the new Edcon Store Solution. I have been assigned there to provide support for the Pilot Stores. We assist with the Help of the Developers and Business analysts to assist with the problems that the store might experience. We work on Windows Point of Sale systems, with Windows store service. We have to assist Via Remote Desktop Connection or Real VNC. We need to install Printers assign Security Rights changed Connection Settings. I am also working out the support procedures as this is a new project as there are no procedures. I have Re-deployed a few terminals Via Windows Deployment Manager. We will also help with the Roll out of the stores once that starts. I have been actively working on SQL with SQL monitor, Replication of terminals, assisting with Setting up subscribers and re-initializing the terminals. I have also been working on the Database via Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

    I started at accenture as a call center agent. I logged call and assign the correct priorities. When users call I would assist them in escalating the calls. I was also a monitor for Service desk intranet box I was responsible for the box and made sure that the call was being done and updated. I assisted in resolving the calls. I am in first line. We try and solve the problem with the first contact with the client. If the problem cannot be sorted out, with the first contact. The call is logged and sent to the correct department. Then the responsible person will call the user to resolve the call. I have moved over to store facilities department, as there we are responsible for fixing the problem. We have to bring servers up, Pcas communication sessions up; do first line investigation of all hardware problems. If there is a problem that we can resolve we will assist the user to resolve the problem through PC Anywhere or talk the user though the process. I have moved on to 2nd line and there we have the responsibility to asses the problem and provide the correct solution for a fix. I have assisted with EFT’s and EFT server corrections. 2nd line has the responsibility to assign calls over the weekend and when the Supervisors are not available. We also work on network problems File server connections and store Networks. We assist in all store hardware and software issues. From outlook to windows installations. We work on a shift basis and are alone on some days to assist with the problems.

    I worked as a B50 clerk for a period of 5 months. In B50’s I made the reserve prices for our auctions and made sure the purchase prices is in order. I also did the after sales where hold has to be put on the account to show that the property has been sold, or bought. In addition, I fulfilled a position as a valuation clerk where I worked for a period of 2 months. In this position I sent out valuators and made sure that we get it the valuation beck in time for the sale. I had to manage the valuators and sent them their work. I had to make sure the valuators are paid at the end of every month for the valuations I got back in that month. I moved back to B50’s. In November 2002 I was moved to make arrangements with clients where I have been to date. In this position I had to make arrangements with the client, I phone the clients before the auction. I make arrangements for us to cancel the sale. For a sale to be cancelled we have to received 50% of the arrears amount and make an adjusted installment for the balance. The balance has to be recovered with in 18 months. We collect about R2 million per month from arrears on account.
