Every day, millions of automated tests are run on Mozilla's infrastructure, and hundreds of Mozillians view the outcome of automated tests on our continuous integration dashboard, Treeherder. As a member of Mozilla's Engineering Productivity team, my job will be to employ machine learning and other analysis tools to help compare test failures reported by Mozilla's infrastructure against previous failures in order to separate known but intermittent test failures from newly introduced ones. I also employ statistical methods to help detect changes in intermittent failure frequency in tests that are known to fail occasionally. Technological environment : Python, Scikit learn and Treeherder.

This internship took place inside the Search, Shopping & Pricing division.More specifically in the Analytics and Data Mining group.The Amadeus flight search engine is serving hundreds of online travel agencies or airline websites.When optimizing, refining or modifying its behaviour, one aspect is particularly difficult to predict.Whatever the objective, it is extremely difficult to determine the optimal results that can be obtained.One key feature required by customers is the ability to return the cheapest price available.The goal of this internship was to focus on this specific aspect by proceeding in several steps:- Understand data sources needed to address the question.- Descriptive approach : combine and explore various data sources to identify cases (e.g. geography,travel period) where improvement is possible.
