About Francois Duquette

I used to spend tremendous hours building structures with old Fisher Price Construx toys when I was a young kid. Today I do what I like the most: design and build software solutions to solve enterprise challenges, improve their productivity and efficiency, increase their sales or reduce their costs.I've been working in the software industry since 2005, starting in software consulting services at CGI on many different mandates that helped me gain valuable experience in terms of computer science skills, knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC), rigorous working methods, teams and customers management. During my time at CGI between 2005 and 2013, I was leading software development teams (up to 10 software developers located in different time zones) on many different projects and customers.More recently, from 2014 to 2022, I've worked for a digital cloud e-commerce SaaS company named AppDirect, bringing my existing professional experience to the next level. I've played many different roles from [ Senior Staff Software Developer ] to [ Global Director of the Technical Solution Architects ] team.---This gave me the opportunity to work on pretty much all the modules of the AppDirect SaaS platform, which greatly improved my overall e-commerce knowledge, both from a development and architecture perspectives. I collaborated a lot with the product teams to constantly enhance the overall platform based on customer feedback. I've strongly contributed to close many pre-sales opportunities and deliver multiple post-sales implementations (new platform features, platform enhancements and customizations, 3rd party integrations such as Payment Gateways, IDP / SSO, Billing and CRM systems, and more).
