I am experienced bilingual Professional Engineer licensed in Ontario (P. Eng.) and Quebec (ing.) with an inquiring nature and high skills in problem solving, mathematics and logic who believes in doing things right.I place a high value on knowledge, truth, dependability and perseverance. When I take on a project, I immerse myself in it. I need to thoroughly understand a project in detail, so that I can follow it through to a successful conclusion. It is important to me that all aspects of the project be accurately represented: reality needs to be accurately represented in a computer model or simulation, and results of an investigation must be truthfully and fully communicated.I have used my skills to model the natural environment in rivers, bays and estuaries for various environmental studies as an engineer, to advance research while pursuing my M.Sc. and Ph.D., to solve interesting hydraulic engineering problems as a sole practitioner professional engineer, and taught skills and attitude to others. My achievements include completion of numerous environmental projects that resulted in improved human and environmental health and safety; developing computer models including a staged diffuser and a phosphorus budget in a river flow model; and designing a uniquely shaped weir to accurately measure industrial waste flows over a wide range of flows in a very limited space in order to achieve compliance with Municipal-Industrial Strategy for Abatement regulations.My recent work includes environmental assessments (Phase I, II, and II), hydro-geological and hydrology and monitoring reports, air dispersion modeling and groundwater contaminant dispersion. It also extends to permit applications such as certificates of approval, permits to take water. I get a sense of personal satisfaction knowing that my work helps make this world a better place.
