Currently setting up a new online, social marketplace for the Health, Wellness and Sports industries, designed to freely connect people with qualified trainers and health professionals.Most recent role was VP Refco Group Ltd, LLC, where I functionally-designed, tested, rolled out and managed a client-focused global data-dissemination platform to all group-company, futures carrying firms and designed, built, from first principles, global customer statements. Up till Refco's bankruptcy, I had migrated circa 25,000 out of 100,00 users (clients) onto the platform.After a brief stint at Barclays Bank branch banking in the mid 80's immediately after leaving 6th form, I joined Refco Overseas Ltd London as a Clearing Clerk and achieved rapid promotions to Clearing Manager and then Operations Manager, culminating in Managing Director Operations at the age of 23 in March 1990, managing trading floors and the back office.New regulatory rules required the separation of executive front and back-office responsibilities, so in 1993 I retained management responsibilities over the back office as Operations Director.I took an extended work break from 2006 after the bankruptcy, which unfortunately co-incided with the global financial crisis. Unable to re-join the financial markets, I reluctantly decided to retire from derivatives and focus on managing my investments.
