Since 1995 Frands has been working with digital exploration and mineral resource data in the department of Petrology and Economic Geology both in databases and ArcINFO - ArcGIS environment. In 1998 the first digital version (of a printed publication in 1996) of mineral resource data was published on a CD-ROM using ArcView 3.x. The mineral resource data from Greenland has always been a key area to keep it updated and published. As a natural improvement the mineral resource data was moved to and Microsoft Access database primo 2004 and then published on and Internet Map Server using ArcIMS. Futher on the mineral resource data is now prepared to move to Oracle and use the ArcGIS-server environment for publication (ultimo 2010 – primo 2011).In 2008 Frands was working in Ghana, Africa total 2 month (3 periods) together with Geological Survey Department (Geological Survey of Ghana) putting Ghana’s geophysical data (about 102 GB of data) on the Geosoft Dap-server.In 2006 Frands was working 3 month in Denmark on the KenSea II project: Tsunami Damage Projection for the Coastal Area of Kenya. Financed by The Fund for Danish Consultancy Services and has been implemented by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Kenya.In 2008 Frands was involved in GEUS launching the project ‘Digital capture of data in the field’ in Greenland using PDA’s with Bluetooth-GPS and an ArcPAD-application installed on the PDA.Fully experienced (since 1995) working with the GIS Technology ArcGIS, ArcView GIS and CARIS Lots on SUN Solaris UNIX, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Professionally working with Geosoft's OASIS Montaj, Adobe Acrobat, Crystal Report, Endnote and SQL Developer.Frands is a super user and IT-adminstrator in windows PC, installing, maintaining and upgrading of computer software used in the department of Economic Geology, GEUS (ArcInfo-ArcGIS-ArcIMS-ArcGIS server software, Geosoft, GEMS, Leapfrog, ITT-ENVI, Adobe software, Micosoft Office, etc..)
