I am always ready and willing to tackle new opportunities.My work experience ranges from software development to traditional and agile project and program management. I enjoy working across departments and functions to solve problems, making sure our products get through the door, and improving the way things work- all while having fun. Throughout the years I have come to learn that I enjoy coming up with creative solutions to many problems encountered in everyday life– product development, organizational behavior, project management, home maintenance,parenting, etc. I’m always saying to myself that “there has got to be a better way.” I’m constantly digging into data, old process maps, previous schedules, etc. and letting the past tell a story. Then the fun begins as I work with others to understand where we want to go and then put together the puzzle pieces that tell us how to get there. The “how” matters. Getting things done is important to me,but equally, if not more, important is how those things get done. When it comes to being creative, the important thing is that we never lose focus of the people involved. Whether it is adding new features to an application, reducing release cycle times, developing new customer support processes, or whatever else, if the work isn’t positively impacting users, team members, managers, etc. there has to be a better way. To that end, with every project I have ever managed or been a part of, I have made sure that to keep a pulse on the people involved so that everyone can be successful. Collaboration, research, and sharing a common vision are key to healthy projects. My positive engagement and style have led me to successfully:- Release product into new market and support channels - Reduce major release activities from a month to 2 days- Design and launch a cloud software licensing and distribution platform- Launch multiple releases of turnkey customer solution iteratively reducing schedule and complexity- Overhaul engineering time keeping and project accounting platform- Herd cats- and much more
