Dr. Abbate has a passion for working with runners, skiers, golfers, and weightlifters. The focus of his assessment is getting to the root cause, and fixing it, as opposed to simply symptom management. He has helped many endurance athletes recover from training programs, to prep for races, and to become pain-free before races over the past few years, including the preparations for the Boston Marathon and the Senior Games. In addition to runners, Dr. Abbate has been able to assist strength athletes in gym goers by helping them work through movement, and mobility issues that held them back from personal and state record for their age classes. His unique approach less patience to have an active role in their treatment plan as opposed to relying on hands on care alone. His belief is that if he can teach someone to take care of themselves, and his job becomes incredibly easy to assist them achieve the greater goals.
