Temp Employee Co-Created database application, used by product support/sales force, that described support of network equipment vendors switches and routers by Fluke Networks analysis products. Investigated and documented SNMP MIB support, translating behavior into data-driven MIB database system. Discovered FNET product defects, particularly in regard to SNMP client behavior for standards-based and private MIBs, drove requirements for interim software releases. Consulted with SW engineers and product planners for future releases regarding network technologies and customer requirements. Trained Technical Support Center (TAC) personnel in use of MIB database and interim software release. Creating MIB library through use of MIMIC MIB simulator. Providing in-depth QA and escalation support for new EtherScope product, developing customer work-arounds and detailed defect analysis for fast product team resolution. Doubled network throughput for file transfer applications by tuning TCP parameters for long-latency ATM network. Identified sources of packet loss / retransmissions in architecture bottlenecks using SNMP analysis of Cisco routers and switches. Located application level defects that were corrected by the applications teams. Created technical training material and trained information systems and networking professionals in engineer-level courses.
