During my tenure with Northwestern University I was working with University of North Carolina's NCGenes team. NcGenes was a multi-site project investigated the utility of diagnostic exome sequencing in a pediatric population presenting with undiagnosed, suspected genetic disorders, and a psycho-educational question prompt list intervention to increase treatment engagement. Role: Postdoctoral Research Fellow Duties: Design and lead investigations into psychosocial and demographic barriers to genomic and genetic care engagement, specifically the impact of medical distrust on patients receiving exome sequencing, perform data analysis, publish and disseminate results through peer-reviewed journal articles.

The Clinical Sequencing Evidence Generating consortium consists of multiple UO1 projects investigating implementation and delivery of medical genomic sequencing with a focus on diverse populations of adults and children. The Coordinating center provides leadership and integrative, organizational, and logistical support and facilitation for all activities associated with the completion of the goals of identified by the CSER Steering Committee, subcommittees, and working groups.My duties included: Harmonization of data related study materials across UO1 research projects, manage data quality control, data analysis, Design and lead psychometric evaluation of gold standard measures in genomic research context, design and publish independent research, oversight of broader consortium publication efforts, oversight of research activity implementation, monitoring ongoing research goals and targets.

My work with Harrborview medical center focused on evaluation of a novel beharivoal substance abuse intervetnion for medically marginalized populations. This work spaned 4 seperate NIH R01 level grants.Duties: Design, management, and implementation of study protocol; Grant preparation, IRB and coordination, Hiring, training, and management for key research staff and undergraduate students, database maintenance, data analysis, purchasing and budgetary oversight, maintenance of specimen analyzer, liaison with community and heatlh care provider stakeholders, maintenance of confidential patient health information, participant recruiting, scheduling, and tracking, implementation of behavioral intervention.
