• Reviewed of all electrical detail design of the shop-drawings and documents issued; “For construction” to ensure that all comments have been incorporated into these documents before the next step of execution takes place.• Reviewed design of lightings system, power socket outlets, UPS and Central Battery System, Lightning protection system, earth/grounding system.• Checked summation of total loads, sizing of cables and raceways, voltage drops calculations and short circuit calculation.• Selection of Power transformers, Capacitor banks, HV and LV panels, SMDB’s, FDB’s, ATS, VFD, Emergency Generator and configuration of Bus-Bars rising up.• Reviewed design of low current system such as; Fire Alarm System, intrusion and access detection system, telephone, CCTV, CATV, SMATV, Video intercom system. • Motor control center (MCC), HVAC control and Building Management system (BMS) points and containment.• Supervised Auto-Cad operator in preparing quality drawing for lighting layout, power, low current, load schedule, single line diagram and other miscellaneous installation details.• Ensured that all designed shown on drawings are in accordance with the latest Abu-Dhabi Distribution Company wiring regulations, Civil defense Authority, IEC, NFPA 72, NFPA 99 and other relevant international standard code of practice.• Prepared technical specifications and bill of quantities.

As an Electrical Engineer, I am responsible for monitoring all electrical activities with regards to the project. I discussed all electrical issues with the contractor, in execution and progress. My duties also include, but are not limited to:• Coordination and liaison with other discipline members of the Project Management Team throughout the duration of the project.• Supervision of installations, that quality control execution and workmanship to be implemented on site.• Review project progress and monthly billing claim by the contractor.• Issue Non-Conformance Report (NCR) or Field Observation Report (FON) to the work implemented on the site which is not according to approved shop-drawing and specifications and implement corrective actions.• Checked the assessment of Value Engineering proposals from Contractors with a view to making cost and time savings.• Witnessed Testing and Commissioning of Power Transformer such as; Die-electric test, Induced Voltage test, voltage ratio measurement, polarities, connections and winding resistance test.• Witnessed Testing and Commissioning of HV cables such as; Hi-potential test and LV cable Insulation resistance.• Witnessed Testing and Commissioning of Earth resistance test, socket outlet polarity and continuity test. Short circuit test of MDB, SMDB’s and DB’s. • Witnessed Testing and Commissioning of low current system such as Fire Alarm System, CCTV, SMATV, Structural Cabling, Data and Voice, Nurses Call System, Building Management and Lighting Control System.• Witnessed Testing and Commissioning of Emergency Generator and Un-interruptible Power Supply (UPS). Motors and Control Panel.• Duties also involved some correspondence and report writings.
