It provides training, ongoing employment support, and community programming (social events, rentals, catering, selling at fairs and festivals) designed to show the community that people with disabilities can be productive workers. It is also a community center of activity.

Our unique model of support services are designed to assist a person with a disability to determine their own future. NEPA Inclusive offers day and supported living services, designed to help people with disabilities live as inclusively and independently as possible, and employment services, including work assessments, job finding, job coaching, job carving, customized employment, and entrepreneurial employment options, designed to help a person with a disability work inclusively and competitively in the community. Lead in the planning and implementation of fundraising and grant programs, including annual appeal, special events, public relations, grant writing, and capital campaign.

Serve as Board President of a non-profit agency dedicated to managing special needs and education trusts on behalf of people with disabilities. The agency oversees both pooled ad non-pooled special needs trusts, as well as educational trusts. Currently, Arc Community Trust of PA manages over 1,100 trusts with aggregate value of over 55 million in trust assets. The agency itself is a 501c3 non-profit agency. I have served as a member of the Board of Directors since 2010 and as President since 2013. This is a volunteer, non-paid , role.

Responsible for staffing, advocacy, financial management, fundraising, and personnel. Report to two Board of Directors, including the parent organization and a foundation board (W. George Wiggins Memorial Association with $1 million in assets), as well as serve as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Arc Community Trust (which holds 1,175 trusts with an aggregate principal value of $45.3 million), which is The Arc’s special needs trust organization.

Major Responsibilities include providing leadership and direction to the operations and fundraising of a 16-county $16 million health care related non-profit organization. Responsible for supervision of Family Planning Program department, including four (4) Direct Service Site Health Centers and 17 Contract Service providers, with a total of 50 external locations.

Provided leadership to an independent 501(c) (3) community human services organization. Key Accomplishments included raising $1,100,000 in the organizations first capital campaign in twenty years; doubling the Annual Support Campaign; establishing an Endowment Fund; moving the YMCA out of ‘troubled Y status;’ negotiating a mortgage loan default buy-out saving the YMCA $415,000 in long-term debt; developing the YMCA’s first Strategic Plan, doubling the Y’s budget size and acquiring grants totaling nearly $500,000 in both operating and capital grant sources

Lead operations position for a $4 million, 10,000 member YMCA. Increased Annual Support Campaign from $26,000 in 1999 to $48,500 in 2001; served as chair of annual silent auction, which raised $12,000 in 2000; coordinated annual 5K run, which raised $6,000. Developed collaboration with local hospital to offer Physical Therapy extension site at YMCA facility. Developed standardized operating procedures, including branch pricing plan, equipment replacement plan, and enrollment reports.

Major responsibilities included supervising fitness, youth & adult sports, and youth & family Departments; supervised ft and pt staff. Served as project co-leader of $200,000 Wellness Center renovation project. Improved budget variance from ($19,000) to $107,000.
