Solutions Architect within the Cloud and IT Transformation Centre of Excellence at Cisco, providing solutions level consulting and design expertise to customers across Europe.- Responsible for planning, design and implementation of next generation data centre solutions for large enterprise customers.- Current focus is Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI). Designing and implementing deployments of the ACI solution, including Python/XML scripting, and Ansible Playbooks.

Group Head of Data Centre Networks encompasses all aspects of technology governance for telecommunication technologies for HSBC's global Data Centres. The main responsibilities include:- Designing Technical Solutions for the Data Centre Networks;- Ensuring design and configuration consistency across the multiple Data Centres within the global regions of the HSBC Group; - Creating the Data Centre Network Vision and Strategy and maintaining documentation and reference architectures; - Providing technical consultancy for business partners, other IT groups, and projects for all regions;- Design approval for all Data Centre projects globally;- Overseeing and managing technology governance processes;- Supporting Product Managers and consulting with business and IT partners to validate the requirements and identify the right solution;- Introducing innovative technologies and contributing to increased productivity and financial savings in infrastructure costs; - Promoting HSBC Group Network architecture internally within the company and externally to our business partners and key vendors.

Technical leadership of the Network Infrastructure Business Projects Team. The team consists of 11 Network Analysts and its role is to undertake all Network related projects for HSBC in the UK and Europe. Providing solution level consulting and design expertise in collaboration with the business and IT Operations teams for the Global HSBC Data Centre Infrastructure. Areas of expertise include:- aligning business objectives and technology solutions;- liaising with HSBC’s global technology partners and suppliers to ensure the HSBC technical requirements are clearly articulated and understood;- delivering the infrastructure architecture and design standards;- working with technology partners and suppliers to define the future state network strategy;- defining the strategic roadmap;- transformation programs and technical governance;- working with data centre mechanical and electrical engineering teams and facilities management to ensure data hall layouts and power and cabling provision accurately meet the requirements of the physical network design;- close liaison with storage and server teams to ensure the network delivers optimal, efficient connectivity whilst maintaining flexibility and design clarity;- excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills across business, technical groups and geographies;- senior out-of-hours on-call network trouble-shooter and on-call team co-ordinator;• Planning, design, business cases, orders, documentation, configuration templates, installation and device configuration for two new, Next Generation Group Data Centres in the UK. These are very large projects - 30,000 sq ft for Global Banking and Markets and 90,000 sq ft for HSBC Global Data Centre. The network has utilised Cisco Nexus (7018/7010, 5000 & 2000 devices) and Catalyst equipment.• Major Head Office Network Design throughout the UK and Europe as well as the HSBC Group headquarters in London (44 Floors inc. major trading floors).

Team Leader for the Post Office Network Test Facility. Responsible for the testing, documentation and configuration template production of all network equipment before production deployment.
