As part of the Corporate Sales Development team my role was to improve the consumables business of Kyocera Mita Europe by introducing structure and processes across the 15 different subsidiaries in Euope. This included the review of pricing and channel structures, implementing new control and report mechanisms, and the identification, communication and realisation of ideas to increase sales. The main challenge was to introduce discipline and trust within a decentralised sales organisation that stretches over several countries and cultures. Systems and processes needed to be defined and implemented thereby often overcoming resistance to change. Since the organisation's culture demands consensus when it comes to innovative ideas it was key to get the buy-in from management and all parties concerned. Therefore clear, convincing and concise communication was vital to achieving the goals.

Responsible for setting up consultancy services that focus on improving the way companies manage their energy and telecom costs.

Managed a project team that consisted of 5 senior consultants. The 10-months project took place in the US (Chicago) with a multinational company ($2bn revenue) and achieved an annualized saving of $10m. This was accomplished by supporting the organisation in defining global supply strategies and installing a cross-functional gate-based process for reducing supply management costs. My activities included the day-to-day management of the team and the project, defining objectives and tracking progress towards these objectives, internal and external communication to the client and contributing to the idea generation process within the team.

Conducted analyses of management processes within various companies in different industries. Took part in installing new processes and/or developed new processes that focussed on improving the productivity of companies across Europe.

In the beginning a very technical role - I was responsible for the design of a network planning tool. I then moved into a position in which I supported Product Management. Being the interface between Engineering and Product Management I had to coordinate a team of senior engineers. Together we analysed new proposals for new features in terms of their strategic alignment, feasibility and profitability.
