Working as a Strategic Project Manager. This post was centered primarily around delivering the Associations Asset Management Information & Funding Strategy (AMIFS), which included the development of an interactive visual systems model & data collation for transition to a new ICT system (Promaster). The model helped to encourage buy in from all team members, by providing a visual system for staff to understand, develop and deliver the strategic objectives that they themselves created for their departments. I also delivered the Association's Incident Management and Business Continuity Plans.

The projects I have managed have ranged from £350K office refurbishments to £6.5M new build housing schemes. The project’s I have undertaken have taught me a great deal in relation to how to manage different types of people from different areas of expertise and backgrounds, to help assist in delivering the best project possible. The most important element of experience I have gained is around the need for detailed planning and provision of a clear scope and project management structure/framework for the project and within the team. Establishing these elements at the outset and coupling them with strong leadership skills, without being overbearing, has proven key to managing the project processes and ensuring a successful project.

The management of a large research and development project that encompassed a survey of over 1600+ people aged 50+; and the collation of this data, combined with other information from internal sources, to create a strategic document that helped align local need with national strategic objectives.
