Frank Came is currently a Senior Advisor at the GLOBE Group, responsible for a number of tasks: Conference Program Director for GLOBE 2014; Manager for various projects for GLOBE Advisors; and is Editor of GLOBE-Net, the on line guide to the business of the environment published by GLOBE Communications, a subsidiary of the GLOBE Foundation. Frank is currently a member of the Management Board of the newly established National Zero Waste Council of Canada.Frank has extensive experience in the environmental and sustainable development sectors, both in business and government. Following an extensive career in the federal public service, serving in various departments and agencies including the Privy Council Office and the Treasury Board Secretariat, he helped to establish the Department of Western Economic Diversification and served for five years as a Director General focused on transportation and logistics matters. He was seconded to the Asia Pacific Foundation to round out his career in the federal public service and later served with the Vancouver Economic Development Commission. After a period as a private consultant for various clients, he returned to the GLOBE Foundation, an organization he helped to create. . He is a former Officer in the Royal Canadian Navy and a graduate of the National Defence College of Canada, a posting that involved extensive international travel and study of strategic economic, military and national security issues in many parts of the world.
