Prior to this he was Deputy Director, Lunar and Planetary Exploration, Advanced Network and Space Systems, developing space vehicle concepts for the exploration of the Moon and outer planets. Developed numerous cryogenic propellant depot concepts for use in cislunar orbits for project Constellation missions and vehicles.In prior assignments he managed efforts for the Orbital Space Plane and National Aerospace Plane programs.Dr. Chandler has been a Lecturer for CSULB from 2003 to 2015 teaching MAE 101A Introduction to Aerospace Engineering, MAE 582 Rocket and Spacecraft Propulsion and MAE 452 Propulsion.
