As a self-employed Business Consultant, I have worked with a number of clients throughout the UK, including: Monaghan Mushrooms Ltd, Commercial Mushrooms Producers Co-op Ltd, An Bord Bia, Wexford Fruit Producers Ltd, various small producer organisations, Kerrigan Mushrooms, various GAA Clubs, Irish Farmers Association (IFA), gfa (Austria). Working with these clients, I have been responsible for a number of tasks related to their operational needs, strategy development, and oversight of business performance. I monitor supplier performance and market statistics to prepare annual reports, scope of work details, and feasibility studies for businesses and industry bodies.I have been responsible for the establishment of fruit and vegetable producer organisations in size from €3-150 million in Ireland and the UK, helping these organisations prepare and implement annual and 5-year business plans (€1-20M PA). I work with these clients to develop and execute subcontracting agreements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and manage any major changes to regulation changes and/or market consolidation occurrences. I have worked to merge producer groups, and assist with application and claims for EU grant assistance, including Funding Applications for a variety of schemes, including EU, NDP, Leader, SCP, and EI. I have prepared legal cases and negotiated settlements. Additionally, I have developed online software for the daily co-ordination of fresh produce from multiple farms to centralised pack house locations that are suitable for continuous cropping produce rather than single harvest crops.

I currently serve as Chair of Link Credit Union. I chaired the steering committee driving the merger of 3 Credit Unions together into one organisation holding €86M in financial assets. I have led the strategic review of Kingscourt Credit Union and its reorganisation of the internal management structure, as well as the initiation of the overall merger process. I have served as a director of the Credit Union since 2007, and formerly served as Treasurer of Kingscourt Credit Union before the merger. The Chair of Link Credit Union is a Pre-Approved Control Function (PCP), approved by the Central Bank of Ireland.I have undertaken relevant training on Lending, Data Protection, Ethics, AML/CTF, Governance, investments, credit control, etc.

Ireland

In this role, I oversaw the sales process and general management of 4 sales staff, 5 advisory staff, and 2 quality assurance employees. I was responsible for the sale of industry equipment and mushroom compost to mushroom growers of c. €7M pa. I assisted 5 advisory staff in the provision of technical advice and support to 150 growers and implemented quality assurance systems across the grower base with team members.

England

I was responsible for the franchise development and sales management of 50 delivery agents across two depots in Hampshire, England with sales of c. €5m pa. I recruited and converted employees to Franchise Operators, providing training in sales, profit and loss, HR needs, and site responsibility.
