Serves as primary point of contact for all Spanish speaking studentsAssist in the dual enrollment application and registration processPrepare and administer presentation/workshops during new student orientationAssist in coordinating campus student activities eventsEstablish and maintain relationships with students and parentsProvide preliminary residency information to prospective students Assists with enrollment marketing strategies and activities Responsible for the overall registration process (add/drop and withdrawal functions); Interprets English and Math placement test scores and assist students in selecting courses based on their resultsAssist in data tracking and program evaluationResponsible for providing educational and career counseling for potential and current studentsAdvise on matters of registration, placement testing, financial aid and visa statusAssist with student success curriculum and development which supports first year students and serve as instructor for development courses including topics on study skills, time management and organization, conflict resolution and money managementPerform community outreach and student recruitmentAdvise students of academic requirements for associate degrees and transfers; develop and present orientations on academic and community issues related to international students and student bodyArrange and promote workshops related to re-entry studentsCommunicate with outside organizations and various College departments to coordinate activities, exchange information and resolve issues or concernsTrain, provide, supervisor work direction to student assistantsAct as liaison with faculty and staff within the division, department and program to ensure student successes in the completion of degree programFamiliar with veteran affairs certification and benefits processes
