My background is in Marine Science focusing on statistical analysis, scientific survey design, and data collection. I'm passionate about animal behavior, taxonomy, and educating others about wildlife conservation. I earned a bachelors degree in biology with a concentration in marine science from the University of South Florida. I'm looking to go back to school soon in order to earn my MS degree in conservation biology with a focus in leatherback sea turtle reproduction success. I'm currently a biological scientist with Florida Fish and Wildlife working in the Fisheries Dependent Monitoring division.I'm also experienced in animal husbandry and rehabilitation of hundreds of sick and injured seabirds and songbirds. Trained in handling birds of prey with proper glove etiquette. Well-versed in ecological concepts, as well as the biodiverse and zoological aspects of biology. Extensive hours in leadership training with skills in presentation/facilitation, accountability, social transitional theories, and event planning.
