I am a graduate engineer (Dipl.-Ing.). Since 2005 I’ve been working for ABG which was becoming part of the Volvo Group in 2007. In the role of a Product Manager I had the responsibility for our pavers. So I worked on specifications for new machine projects. These activities were connected to performing customer clinics and collect additional information directly on jobsites to find out the real customer requirements. For communication of technical and commercial aspects to our dealers I wrote Sales and Service Bulletins. If our sales colleagues had technical questions or needed recommendations for specific applications I was likewise their contact partner. On exhibitions it was part of my role to investigate news on our competitors pavers and give internally an overview to market trends. As part of the Volvo family these activities were similar when Product Management was incorporated in Product Planning. So I worked until 2012 as Product Planning Engineer for Volvo CE.In 2012 I changed to the role of Global Product Manager for ABG pavers. In that role I am still responsible for the specifications in new projects. Therefore I plan together with other colleagues in my department Voice of Customer events with participation of customers from different areas of the world. In all ABG paver related project meetings I’m the central contact person for global Marketing questions. So I’m in regular contact to our Regions EMEA, APAC, China, Americas to exchange specific information with their representatives and organize common Skype calls to talk about common interests and discuss how we can solve issues in the best way. Still jobsite visits around the world are an important part of my current role and to keep competitor movements in my view is likewise expected.With 1st of June 2024 ABG belongs to the Ammann Group. I'm still working in the position of a Global Product Manager.
