Glanum Medical Devices is the sister company of Glanum Diagnostics and is specialized in development of patch based diagnostic equipment to be used by the GP.

Bridging the gap by bringing wearables into the office of the GP. Glanum Diagnostics is a registered virtual hospital ('Zelfstandig Behandelcentrum') in the Netherlands. Glanum offers wearable based diagnostic devices as well as analysis and reporting services. We have in-house development capacity (and will have ISO13485 soon) but are also looking for partners with new exciting wearables that have already medical CE or can become certified.

In my role as senior medical devices expert I support ambitious companies that can make the difference with meaningful innovations. One product and project management method we utilize is Scrum. I obtained by PSM 1 certificate and in this role I support teams in bringing maximum value to our customers.

I provided consultancy services related to medical device development, processing technologies (including printed electronics) as well as QA. In one assignment have been ad-interim QA manager for a medical device company.

Wearable electronics is booming business and all kind of devices are (being) developed aiming at deriving electrical signals from wearers, process and display information in different means. In my role I am responsible for ensuring optimal interaction between (human) skin and device. This means optimal signal transport while comfort level needs to be high and side effects like skin irritation need to be minimalized. The sensors used are an important aspect of the overall system architecture and more and more sensors and electronics are combined into one merged solution.

Took care of the technical aspects of producing a radio show and became responsible the overall technical equipment. Together with my team we started television experiments and succesfully created a television studio.I developed a 'non stop' music system based on multiple CD players (pre-mp3 period) and became project leader in a project where we succesfully developed a mp3 based radio automation system. In my role I also took care of people management activities in this challenging environment where with volunteers only (!), 168 hours per week radio and several hours tv per week were made. After a sabbatical of a few years I became a board member of the station

Technomed Europe’s Neurodiagnostic Accessories are typically used in (clinical) neurophysiological examinations, like muscle activity registration (EMG), brain activity registration (EEG), IntraOperative NeuroMonitoring (IONM), nerve conduction studies (NCS) and evoked potentials (EP).The team at Technomed Europe has research and design capabilities, regulatory processes and in-house manufacturing facilities to develop both customized accessories for distributors as well as private-labeled accessories for OEM customers.

Focus on interventional cardiology in general: evaluation of new applications into the field, technology scouting and trend spotting. Depending on the development stage of a project, a prototype is tested, a full clinical investigation is conducted or a post market study performed. In addition I am an internal consultant for 'biomaterials' related challenges in medical devices projects.

In my daily activities I combine my biomaterials background with technologies Philips has in house (electronics, mechatronics, software and digital systems). In the role of System Architect I lead projects for Philips and external customers.I addition I am sideways involved in QA aspects of medical devices development and therefore I am setting up a 'biomaterials' lab that has the capabilities to operate under GLP.
