Back to Python and Django. I am currently working on a project for chess enthusiasts and chess players that goes beyond just playing chess and allows users to earn as they play. It involves different game modes and is time sensitive hence the need for task scheduling tools like Celery alongside a broker like redis. Django channels also found its way in, due to need to display live performance to other users.

As a software engineer at Safeli, I was able to work with technologies I had not used before i.e ExpressJs, Node, MongoDB, Zustand. I was able to understand the asynchronous event driven architecture of Node, and less rigid style of MongoDB and working on both backend and frontend, went on to build products including BUY FOR ME and SELL FOR ME. I was able to build a web app with Django and React to allow customers order their desired stock and send as an excel/csv file via email.

As a Pharmacist, I was able to counsel patients, identify and resolve actual drug therapy problems e.g interactions, and look into sales analysis.

I worked in a team made up of people from different countries, trying to make sense of data in projects assigned to us. The final project was on COVID 19. I built a web app with Django, HTML5 and CSS3 to deploy the models built by my team . The project code can be viewed on my GitHub profile.

As a pharmacy student with knowledge of pharmaceutical care and dispensing, I was able to assist the superintendent pharmacist with dispensing and directions on usage.It was during this period I built a console based app with python and sqlite that mapped product names to shelf location. I did this due to the stress encountered in memorizing drug locations on the shelf.

I got to see the production of different products in different dosage forms. I was fascinated by the working principle of many industrial machines especially the fluidized bed processor, mixing, drying, granulating at the same time. The Quality assurance department was also an eye opener. It was during this period that my interest in the python programming language sparked.
