La Semilla is a after school program that reaches out to kids of the Little village community in Chicago. Its is a interactive tutoring program that strives to help kids from 1st-8th grade in all subjects such as Reading, Math, Science, English, History, and Bilingual Studies. It is a year around program that follows a regular school year. It ends in the summer only to transform into a summer day camp for the students and their fellow brothers and sisters. Helping keep kids safe and productive in Little Village during the summer by having outings, fun activities, and a week long trip outdoors.

Introducing youth to Christ and helping them grow in there faith. By playing crazy games, tutoring, and mentoring the youth.

Organized paperwork, schedules, money, and inventory for the league.

Directly worked with Urban Life Skills (ULS), Christian Community Development Association (CCDA), Little Village Summer Softball League, Enlace Chicago, La Semilla. Acted as League Assistant for the Little Village Summer Softball League as part of AmeriCorps Program. Organized church events including assisting with Yearly CCDA Conference. Controlled participant and program files, completed daily tasks, assisted with Youth Summer Program. Completed other building and facility maintenance tasks as assigned and designated. Assisted in creation of promotional video and movie to satisfy dissertation requirements for participant. Helped mentors with paperwork and other data entry as well as insured that all records were properly maintained for Culture of Calm grant initiative.

Assisted in installation and repair of pipelines, heaters, air conditioners, boilers. Completed duct work and insured proper completion of project. Lead installation of Insulation in attics, basements, and other small areas.

Renovated meeting room through creation of new walls, supports, floors, and doors. Planned necessary changes and followed through as needed. Accomplished purchase orders for supplies to insure completion of project in timely manner.
