After a two year period at another company, never truly leaving Codian Robotics, I decided to return to Codian Robotics. I am back again, with newly acquired knowledge and skills! Responsibilities:Besides expanding capabilities of our in house developed robot simulation software and development of new robots, my work will probably shift towards robot programming.

Doeko High Tech Tooling is a company which designs and produces dies, moulds and precision mechanical components for wide variety of high tech companies such as ASML, NXP, Nexperia, Philips and more. Within Doeko I was responsible for:- Develop mechatronic machines to automate production for both customers and internal use. - Co-develop dies for complex parts made out of sheet metal. - Several smaller projects for the high-tech industry.

Codian Robotics develops, produces and sells delta robots to machine builders, OEM’s and system integrator. Although a very young company at the time, Codian Robotics has become a major global player in the field of delta robots since its start in 2011. Responsibilities:- Main developer of custom robot performance simulation software used by sales and engineering. - Create and improve internal processes- Development and test new delta robots- Improving current delta robots- Strength analysis (including finite element analysis)- CAD administrator (SolidWorks)- Technical delta robot support for sales department

Mecon Engineering is an engineering bureau working for the high tech industry. I worked 3 years for the precision/space department of the company. Responsibilities:- Design creative solutions for precision mechanical problems - Mechanical calculations (tolerance studies, strength analysis, trigonometry) - Develop test setups and measure mechatronic products - Develop, model and detail various parts for mainly high vacuum and cryogenic conditions - Chief constructor within small projects During my time with Mecon I acquired the skill to operate 4 different CAD programs (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo and UGS NX).One of the more exciting projects I worked on during my time with Mecon has been the ALMA antennas (Atacama Large Millimetre/submillimetre Array). My job was to redesign one of the receivers (band 5) to a more mass producible version. Fun fact: The ALMA observatory had an essential role capturing the first picture of a black hole!- ALMA project-ALMA is an interferometric array of sub-mm radio telescopes located on a high desert plateau in Chile. It is currently the largest ground-based astronomical project with participation from Europe, United States, Japan, Canada, South Korea, Chile and Taiwan. The location of ALMA has been chosen because the altitude and dry desert environment minimises the amount water vapour in the air column above the telescopes. One of the major science drivers of ALMA is to observe the cold universe, in particular the microwave radiation emitted by water molecules in clouds and protoplanetary disks. This radiation is however also readily absorbed by the water molecules in our own atmosphere.

Assignment: Development of a parametrisable calculation model for the leakage past piston rings in a compressor, in which all influencing factors for the leakage are included.Grade: 9.0
