They manage case files, testify in court, and specialize in skip tracing to locate missing individuals.In our role as Security Consultants we assess security risks, develop security plans, and recommend physical security measures like access control systems and surveillance cameras. They provide security training, conduct audits, and plan emergency responses for scenarios like natural disasters or workplace violence.And as Asset Protection Experts we assess asset value and vulnerability, develop risk management strategies, and integrate security systems to protect assets. They focus on fraud prevention, crisis management, legal compliance, and continuous improvement of asset protection measures.

Responsibilities are to minimize financial risk by executing and managing risk mitigation programs; monitoring merchandise categories for proper execution of deterrence techniques. Conduct internal and external investigations on financial losses and unethical behavior in facilities. Conduct store tours to assess program effectiveness; and manage the execution of national priorities associated with financial risk.Build and maintain partnerships with business leaders to ensure the asset protection (AP) function meets business needs by advising operations, including market level and store management, on AP solutions, policies and procedures. Manage day to day functions of the Asset Protection Manager (APM) program. Provide consultation and recommendations on how to address AP concerns and mitigate risk, creating plans and processes that directly address business unit AP gaps. Drive Asset Protection (AP) results across the facilities by evaluating programs and adapting them to store and market specific needs; executing and managing plans and practices; analyzing trends and metrics; communicating and reinforcing company policies and procedures related to AP (for example, workplace safety, fire protection).Ensure that facilities are prepared for crises by building and sustaining trusting, collaborative relationships and alliances with government and non-governmental agencies; representing the company to the media at store level for asset protection related events. Informing management of various potential crisis situations and the appropriate ways to respond including advising managers on detailed emergency procedures and contingency plans.

Main directives are to control the unexplained loss of merchandise and improve profitability by identifying and communicating performance goals and objectives; building accountability for policies and procedures; measuring adherence to loss prevention policies and procedures. Review variances to inventory reports; conducting operational and pre-inventory reviews; gathering data, auditing results and monitoring deficiency trends. Coordinate, complete and oversee job-related activities and assignments for asset protection by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs. Identify and communicate goals and objectives and measure progress in achieving results.Detect, deter, investigate, and resolve violations of company policies and criminal activities by investigating alleged fraud and other alleged illegal activities. Conduct investigations relating to the operations and policies of the company; obtaining evidence, taking statements, writing case reports, and providing court room testimony, as needed.Supervise the Asset Protection Associate (APA) program by analyzing current store theft trends and external crime trends to create plans to control the unexplained loss of merchandise; reviewing investigative cases to ensure the adherence to corporate policies and procedures. Working with the APAs, managers and store associates to ensure programs are in place to deter internal and external theft; and reinforcing company policies and procedures are followed for the detection and apprehension of those involved in suspected theft activities.
