I was born and raised in Illinois, always have been mechanically inclined and love working with my hands. I enjoy working on cars, trucks and motorcycles. I love spending any free time I have with my wife and three children. I enlisted in the Marines at 17 years old and served 5 years. I worked as a Hydraulic and Structures Mechanic on F/A-18 Hornets. I earned the rank of Sergeant at 3-1/2 years, was the shop supervisor in charge of 8-10 maintainers and 12 aircraft at any given time. I also led the Phase maintenance program and coordinated multiple different operations with people from many different areas of expertise to achieve a common goal. I have been all over the world, including a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During my time there on an individual augment, my team and myself trained members the Afghan Civil Order Force on tactical operations and defensive driving techniques. I work at SpaceX and truly love my job. I enjoy coming to work every day, learning new things and figuring out how to solve complex problems efficiently with the ultimate end goal of making life multi planetary. I am self motivated and take extreme ownership of anything I do. I never sit idle and I’m always looking for ways to improve myself.
