I was an inspector on behalf of Arcadis for multiple DC Water and Sewer systems. Projects included: Potomac interceptor Anacostia main interceptor, UPIRS, SUBD DCFA-490. Inspection varies from pipe to manhole inspection throughout the DMV.

WMATA is upgrading the traction power elements in there alignment. This requires detailed drawings that is used by the contractor to perform the work. Drawings is done to WMATA Standards and require a very short turn around. Furthermore, drawings MUST be done accurately to prevent someone getting electrocuted. Construction / work is done at night. The project appears to be on going until the whole alignment is upgraded with the new system.

Architectural designer for DDOT - Car Barn Training Center Expansion on behalf of Jacobs. The project is in parallel to the alignment expansion. With more cars and tracks they need an upgrade facility to handle the additional needs. I have been in with the project since the beginning. Currently the design is progressing towards 60% design. As the designer I takes lead and help coordinate everyone so we are on the same page. With the design ramping up, a lot of coordination with all other disciplines is on going and is a healthy challenge as the design progresses.To note, my co-worker (Satish Soni) from SZPM is designing the structural elements (footing, framing, columns, etc.), but I am drafting the structural drawings on his behalf. This works well because I can coordinate these two drawings as well everyone else.

Mechanical & Architectural draftsman for DC water projects on behalf of AECOM.Projects includes: DC Water flood wall, DC Water fluidization, DC Water and Main Substation Yard Improvement.Drafting using DC water standards. I also created a 3D model for the fluidization.No photo of work because area is classified.

I am a sub contractor to Greeley-Hansen on a few projects. Project 1. Small Diameter Water Main CAD Support. Using field surveys and GIS created base drawings for the DC Water on the water main project. Drawings done to DC Water's CAD standards. This project is complete.Project 2. NEBT Trunk Sewer Rehab as a project coordinator. A sewer portion of the North East Boundary Tunnel project needs rehabilitation. The current design is suggesting geo polymer being the most cost effective and best option. The project's preliminary design is complete and should be released for bid once everything is reviewed and approved. This project is on going.Project 3. LZ09 PI. The Potomac Interceptor project is part of that whole water main system rehabilitation project. The project is broken down by section because of the magnitude and scale. This section comes with its own challenges as it in National Parks Services property. So a significant coordination with NPS and other stakeholders is required. This project is on going.

WMATA has a lot of stations. Most of them require some type of work to get them up to code in terms of ADA, safety, and maintenance. Using inspector images, I help identify specifically where in the station that needs improvement and provide detailed instruction of what needs to be improved or fixed. Furthermore, this information must go to the correct team within WMATA. We have identified over 450 items, either ramp, sidewalks, markings, signage, handrails, etc. that should be repaired or improved within stations of WMATA. The sorting is complete and we forward an action to the appropriate departments within WMATA to fix and improve the stations.

The project is owned and will be operated by the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). I help develop the program and request for proposal. We opt out to make the project delivery a hybrid design build with negotiation at 60% with the grantee max price because the project is very time sensitive. The project consists of a Heavy Repair & Overhaul (HRO) and a surface parking. My role is a project coordinator is to assist with procurement, schedules, risk management, budget, safety analysis, stakeholder coordination, quality and data management, design management, contract management, and business aspect of the project are the few things. With the main contractor on board now we can begin to help push the project forward. WMATA is aiming to start construction by summer 2023

The Lead Pipe Replacement Assistance Program (LPRAP) uses District funds to assist with eligible property owner’s lead pipe replacement. Each property owner can receive 50% of their costs covered (up to $2,500), regardless of income. Some residents will qualify for 100% assistance depending on household size and income. Additional information here about the LRPAP program is on DC water's official website.I was Initial brought in to help support the DC Lead Pipe Replacement Assistance Program for case support. However, things quickly changed shortly afterwards, learning that the current method was not effective. Over the months, the program evolved. New procedures we help create to help DC water move cases along. In the end working with Mott McDonald, DC Water, and the Department of Energy & Environment we were able to create an intuitive, easy to navigate, easy to use and understand SharePoint site that captures the needs of DC water. The SharePoint site is now launched. DC water users can now effectively and efficiently move cases forward for Lead Pipe Replacement Assistance Program._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________Another Lead-free program that I was involved in is the CIPER. This is like the LRPAP program but was free. In short, I would directly talk and schedule with the homeowner and DC Water had a specific contractor that did the replacement._______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

WSSC was in need of improvement at there Potomac Water Filtration Plant. The project is broken up into two tasks. The first task is the improvement of the plant and the second task is demolition and new work associated with providing dewatering equipment. My job title is a residential engineer, but I was really a submittal coordinator. I made sure that the reviewers (selected by WSSC) completed the submittal process in a timely manner. I did the first initial check for all the submittal I would check for basic information if that was accurate and make sure it goes to the respective reviewer within the project. I also did the follow compiling the comments as needed and sending the final comments to the Project manger.

This project is owned by WSSC. The is called the PCCP replacement project. PCCP is Prestressed concrete cylinder pipe. The project is an existing water main alignment identified by WSSC that will become an issue in the future. In short, PCCP is not as reliable and durable modern option . So, instead of wait until an issue arise WSSC is taking the initiative and replacing PCCP. The design throughout the alignment consist of direct replacement, slip lined, and replace and abandon old.I helped design of the new alignment and draw the construction documentation. As of now we have the 30% drawing submitted to WSSC for review and expected to have comments and to incorporate changes later for the next submission.

The proposed Northeast Boundary Tunnel (NEBT) is a large, deep, sewer tunnel that will increase the capacity of the existing sewer system in the District, significantly mitigating sewer flooding and improving the water quality of the Anacostia River. The NEBT is the largest component of the Clean Rivers Project and will start just south of the RFK Stadium and extend north to Rhode Island Avenue and west to R Street NW. In addition to the tunnel, DC Water will be constructing diversion facilities along the tunnel alignment to capture flows from the existing sewer system and divert them to the tunnel. The NEBT will connect with the First Street Tunnel and Anacostia River Tunnel to provide a complete gravity system from Northwest DC to Blue Plains Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant, where all flows captured by the tunnel system will be delivered for treatment prior to discharge to the Potomac River.My role on the project was to assist Brierley Associates as the CADD manager. Brierley Associates created the support of excavation design for all the site locations. Those design needed to be inputted to DC water ACAD standards and go to the field for use. We had 16 location and different types of excavation from Jack and bore, sheet piles, channels, etc. All the drawings must match DC water standard and be at a level of completeness for delivery. The project ended for me ahead of schedule as I completed the draft sooner then expected.

One of the largest P3 projects in the US government history to date. This is the 2nd major rail system project Mr. Hong has been involved in. Last project he was in he architecture side. However, in the project Mr. Hong is the CAD lead for system design. Train system consists or many other disciplines within the group. Mr. Hong's role is keep the many files in order, make sure they are to CAD standards, and help progress the design. Furthermore, he is in charge of the massive 3D clash detection file that spans over 16 miles and consists of over 10 disciplines. (a lot of clashes to deal with and coordinate) Mr. Hong primary uses Mircostation throughout the day and switches up to Revit when needed. I worked from the bottom and even got offered to manage a store later, but refused because I want to become an architect not a Starbuck store manager. Starbucks was great for networking if you talk to the correct customers. Nevertheless, I stayed with Starbucks over 10 years because the manager was like family to me. Once she was wrongly fired I had no reason to stay. Any good leader knows good help is hard to find. I meet some of the hardest working and nicest people working here. To note, once my manager left 100 percent of the original staff that she hired either left or got fired shortly afterwards.

The project is located in Lusby MD. This is an expansion of Dominion Cove Point LNG power plant. We are in the process of equipping the power plant the means of exporting LNG. In short, the team and I are the middle people between the engineered plans (which is created by IHI) to the superintendents. We coordinate what needs to be built, tell them where to build it, and check the quality. We drive the project forward day and night.

Draft using AutoCADProgramming, schematic design, design development, and construction documentations with Melanie Swisher the owner, principle, and licensed architect. I would like to get into the final stages which is construction and physical go out to build what was programed from the start.

My primary task was drafting the concrete structures. Worked with the general manager Steve Rogers, senior engineer George Hall, and engineer Al on creating and designing sanitary and storm water management concrete structures.

A deck carpenter. Piles, framing, vinyls, screens, doors, windows, roofs framing, electrical boxes, finishing, drywall, paint, and installing fixtures. Learned a significant amount of knowledge building with my hands.
