I've picked up a few tricks of the trade in my 19 years of commercial experience in the tech industry and the fast-paced rate of change keeps me young. During these years I've absorbed a lot of different influences ranging from:- the technical: began with xampp... now we're talking docker, AWS ECS containers! In my world PHP MVCs and NodeJs both have their place- the business: I've worked in agencies and in-house, it's worth experiencing the two to build up your understanding of how businesses/products live or die, you can't separate the business from the technical- the project management: break it down into chunks, what's your MVP? Can you keep it elegant and simple and add more discrete features further down the line on your roadmap?- the culture: at least as important as above... is your workplace fun? Do you groan when your alarm goes off in the morning, or do you enjoy hanging out with fun people that really get stuff done?If you recognise the importance of these 4 aspects of the job, we are kindred spirits!
