Supported the R&D, installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of Electromagnetic Aircraft Launching systems, Advanced Arrest Gear, and all other associated subsystems. Supervised a 22-member team of Catapult Electricians (Cat-El) by delegating tasks, coordinating workflows, and reviewing performance. Served as a liaison between the military and shipyards to coordinate safety tag-outs and submit required paperwork for job set-up and completion. Worked closely with both military and civilian personnel to ensure communication interfaces, operational tempos, and general safety measures were followed. Supervised and monitored the workflow for 17 maintenance technicians and provided on-the-job training/coaching to ensure the absorption of critical job functions occurred. Ensure the onboard navigation and other supporting systems were kept at peak operating performance by analyzing, troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, testing, and certifying service of all navigational and associated electromechanical systems. Monitored the daily performance for Inertial Navigation, Electromagnetic Log, radars, GPS, and Voyage Management Systems (VMS). Installed and maintained stability/control systems, realigned navigational components, interpreted system warnings/alerts, and ensured all Digital Nautical Charts were correctly updated for safe navigation.
