My objective is to help colleagues and the organization as a whole with respect to risk management, incident management and crisis management.A German language teacher by training with a degree in American Studies, I thrive on working with people to understand and/or improve the organizations performance on everything that relates to risk: physical, natural, man-made, etc. Training, testing, instruction sessions are at the core of that.Thoughout my professional career, I have had the opportunity to work with so many smart people and thus to further improve my management skills as a risk manager (individually) and team manager. In the latter role, I worked with dedicated professionals to help them improve their skills, behavior and/or interventions to become meaningful advisors. I have substantial knowledge on the 'harder' side of risk management as I served as the manager of the team 'Safety & Security' and 'Occupational Health, Safety, Environment and Radiation Protection' (OHSE&R) at Eindhoven University of Technology. Advisory on risk assessments, incident reviews was my core job, next to roles in safety- and security-related projects. My role as senior advisor and team manager at COT Institute for Safety, Security and Crisis Management (an Aon company) gave me plenty opportunities to work in different sessions on crisis management with executives, mayors and Executive Board members. I was able to build a thorough understanding of what crisis management for the executive level means and requires.In each session, conversation or discussion about seemingly ' wicked' problems, I bring this expertise to help my colleagues and/or clients to improve on risk- and crisis management (from raising awareness, via policy-building, training and testing to evaluations).
