Network Engineer responsible for: Checkpoint Firewall, F5 Load Balancing and Cisco swtiching Infrastructure support and administration. Also, currently acting as lead BlueCoat Proxy administrator for the McGraw-Hill Companies account for ATOS. Support includes both Financial and Education markets in a secure DMZ envrironment.Responsible for on-boarding of a right-shore team of engineers and provide training to create a strong team of L1/L2 offshore support. This results in the handling and fulfillment of L1/L2 services defined by the corporation including Incident/Change management following ITIL standards and processes.

Border Area Networking responsibilities include: Corporate and DMZ Services : Provide support and implementation of corporate and DMZ Firewall/Load Balancer requests in response to customer business requirements, spanning all McGraw-Hill business segments including Education, Finance(S&P), Market Data Services and Information & Media. Technologies include: F5 GTM/LTM, Checkpoint r75.40 Smart Domain Manager spanning multi-tiered DMZ infrastructure as well as Corporate/Remote Office and Partner VPN. DMZ capacity planning: Responsible for the configuration, installation and maintenance of Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switching appliances, supporting corporate Web Hosting and Partner Network VPN infrastructures, Server Provisioning: Review, implement and manage IP address and access switch provisioning for all DMZ servers hosted in all corporate data centers, Corporate Proxy Administration: BlueCoat Proxy administration supporting corporate user internet access and management including Proxy server installations and upgrades spanning all global corporate office sites, Business Process Management: Representing the Border Area Network group in Six Sigma initiatives, targeting Change Management processes for server provisioning, installation and decommission workflow improvement, ITIL Service Management: Responsible for development and improvement of DMZ services and providing input to organization wide service management initiatives such as Release, Change and Incident management processes; as well as CMDB development project, Member of Engineering Installation Review Committee (EIRC): Provide Border Area Network and EDMZ representation to review and approve all server installations and decommissioning provisioning requests, Compute Capacity On Demand: Member of CCOD committee responsible for developing DMZ requirements to create an in house “Cloud-like” customer experience, utilizing VMWare and SUN/SOLARIS LDOM server technologies.

Coordinate and execute System Test Engineering activities for the Distributed Audio Networking product line, carrying the following responsibilities:  Serve as a liaison between System Test and hardware/software development teams, aligning functional requirements to system test case development, System Test Lead for the Yamaha Y2 A-NET Interface Card; responsible for both the test case development and executing the software and hardware verification procedures, Develop system and regression test verification procedures for the Pro64 product line,  Provide support to sales, marketing and customer teams, resolving technical product issues, Prepare and deliver technical product training to marketing and field sales staff, Track test results and report statistics to management, representing the QA team at project status meetings,  Review product User Manuals, providing comments and/or suggestions, leveraging technical content as well as the varying technical ability of the customer base,

Lead test engineer for the Wireless Base Station Remote Maintenance Tool (RMT)  Review hardware/software requirements, providing critical feedback during Software Design Document reviews, Write detailed feature based test plans based on the aforementioned design and requirements documents, Execute these test procedures to verify developers code and complete feature functionality, Responsible for writing and executing regression test procedures for current and future releases Tested Sub-Network Management software systems interfacing with high speed optical networking products, Wrote, reviewed and executed interoperability test plans based on systems engineering requirements, Installed/upgraded and maintained Sub-Network Management System software running on HP-UX based servers, Coordinated requirements and test plan reviews, testing prioritization and laboratory equipment utilization, Managed an internal web page, providing instant access to test plans, test results, and reference documentation. Created and delivered network management training courses to domestic and international Lucent field integrators, better preparing them for the network management portion of customer network deployments, Prepared and delivered pre-sales customer demonstrations of network management systems, providing a “proof of concept” of new features in Lucent’s next generation Intelligent Optical Networking offer,  Provided precise and timely technical support to field engineers during customer deployments, resolving integration issues between Lucent’s DWDM and Network Management systems.  Wrote, reviewed and executed system test plans, verifying functionality of Lucent graphical user interfaces.
