Currently, I am proud and honored to lead the men and women of Renaissance Global Services (RGS), a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, with its headquarters in New Jersey. RGS is focused on program and project management of facilities and capital projects for Fortune 500 companies including in the Life Sciences and Utilities Sectors.I grew up in a large Italian Catholic family in New York. From an early age, I had beliefs that my vocation was to serve our country as a military officer. This led me to attend the Citadel as soon as it became a possibility. During such time, I was introduced to leadership traits and principals.As I considered joining the military in 1966, I decided to join the Marine Corps. Following, I served our country in Vietnam as an Infantry Platoon Commander; such began my love affair with the Marines I was privileged to serve.Throughout my 35 years of service as a Marine Officer, I realized that the key to success was to surround myself with the best and brightest and to be a good listener. I was fully able to embrace the concepts of empowerment, trust, and decisiveness.Following my return from the Marine Corps, I served as the Deputy Commissioner for Counterterrorism at the NYPD, and also served as an Undersecretary at the Department of Homeland Security. When I left DHS in 2005, I took a job in Huntsville, AL, as the CEO of an IT/Engineering company.As always and now at RGS, I focus on our mission and employee support. Hiring veterans and members of their families whenever possible is paramount to the success of RGS.
