• Designed, implemented, and maintained a computer-aided auditory system which established a model system for studying the functional development of central inhibitory connection. System allowed scientists to create complex sound through manipulation of intensity, frequency and timing changes; simulation of single sound source broadcasting from different locations with analysis and recording of the single response. The system improved and maximized researches by helping scientists extract the key activities and behaviors of a central auditory nucleus. Project successfully completed two months early and $40,000 under budget.• Developed and implemented an integrated brain slice system for the electrophysiology research group. The system allowed the acquisition and analysis of neural signals in real time from analog testing devices in order to discover and determine the development and plasticity of neural circuits and synaptic mechanisms. Project successfully completed 6 months early and 25% under budget. System in use for 11 1/2 years and is in distribution to several laboratories and institutions.
