Currently, I am serving as a Project Management Specialist at EDP Renewables in Milan, Italy. In this role, I manage the company’s projects from the engineering phase to the commercial operation date (COD), ensuring they align with EDPR’s strategies and guidelines. My responsibilities include conducting technical due diligence, risk assessments, and evaluating grid connection options for renewable energy plants. I collaborate with project developers, managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of grid connection activities within project timelines. Additionally, I monitor grid connection progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective connections.Previously, I gained valuable experience as a researcher at Technical Solidarity Onlus, a non-profit organization that organizes training experiences in Latin America and Africa. During my tenure, I participated in the sixteenth edition of the Field Study Abroad program, focusing on research, data analysis, design, implementation, and monitoring of renewable energy mini-grid systems. I collaborated with United Nations operators, MIT researchers, NGOs, and indigenous communities in East Africa, delivering detailed analyses and reports that have been instrumental in addressing potential improvements in rural electrification in developing countries.I hold a master’s degree in Energy Engineering - Energy for Development from Politecnico di Milano, where I completed a thesis on the characterization and kinetic modeling study of biomass samples pyrolysis. Prior to this, I earned a bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering from Sapienza Università di Roma, with a thesis on the reliability analysis for rural mini-grids in developing countries. I also participated in an Erasmus exchange program at TU Delft in Mechanical Engineering.I am passionate about finding innovative and sustainable solutions for energy access and development, and I am eager to contribute to the global energy transition.
