Frank Mcdermott Email and Phone Number
Frank McDermott is a Consultant Colorectal Surgeon based at the Royal Devon and Exeter Foundation Trust. He is also Honorary Senior Lecturer at University of Exeter and the Cancer lead for the Southwest Genomics Medicine Service Alliance. His specialist interests are in advanced disease, robotics and genomics/ epigenetics which is his main research focus. His current translational research interests are into epigenetic (methylation) changes in cancer, abdominal wall and inflammatory conditions such as diverticulitis. His most recent NIHR supported study ‘Explodes’ has finished recruiting patients and is investigating epigenetic changes in acute diverticulitis. In addition to his research interests he is an Editor for BJS Open.
