Responsible for taking ownership of claims with third party litigation. The primary objective is to scrutinise files and conduct full file audits in order to identify reasons claims were not settled. On assessment when the point of dispute was identified, either choosing to apply subrogation, negotiate liability settlement and/or quantum or instruct panel solicitors providing points of dispute and a desired defence. I supported and assisted offshore and onshore colleagues in liability, indemnity and litigation procedures for both Scottish and English law and negotiate and settle third party claimant solicitor’s costs and disbursements relating to both special and general damages.
