Dr. Frank Naeymi-Rad is the Co-founder of Intelligent Medical Objects, Inc (IMO Health). and a Chairman of Leap of Faith Technologies, Inc. In addition to founding IMO and guiding it to become the premier terminology vendor for EHRs now used by about 85% of all physicians and nurses, Dr. Naeymi-Rad has over 50 scientific publications and holds 11 patents related to EHRs and health enterprise informatics. His entrepreneurial spirit has led to a new vision of medical informatics embodied by codified semantics and natural language processing to eliminate isolated repositories of information and enable both patients and practitioners to make better use of health information. His thought leadership in clinical informatics led to nomination for the Oracle Corporation Smithsonian Award in the category of Medicine. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, as well as author and co-author of numerous peer reviewed publications in the field of Medical Informatics. His degrees are from Southern Illinois University and the Illinois Institute of Technology, the latter a Ph.D. in Computer Science. He sees health technology as the ultimate democratizing force of society, with the potential to raise the lowest common denominators by reducing costs and connecting people around the world. He is committed to connecting academic centers with the private sector to create an ecosystem of innovation in medical and biomedical informatics that becomes a conduit for early adoption and integration into practice.
